Very disaapointing and poor communication (i.e. none) with owners
Negative: 1. Upper front door lock broken – unable to open.
2. Lower front door lock was unlocked on arrival.
3. Carbon monoxide alarm did not work – suspect battery needs replacing.
4. No hot water at 6pm on day of arrival. Subsequently informed that switch under boiler in kitchen needs to be switched on – it was off on arrival. No indication of what this switch operated or that it needed to be left on. Same applies to switch at top of stairs.
5. Apartment advertised on Booking.com as “Newy renovated”. This is clearly a mis-representation; the apartment has not been decorated for a long time. Stair bannister paint worn through to bare wood and covered in dirty hand marks.
6. Carpets are filthy and need cleaning. They are so dirty they make the soles of a child’s feet black.
7. Sofa has several bad stains on it.
8. Female knickers left in bedroom.
9. Kettle in kitchen has various buttons to select various temperatures. However, on several occasions no matter what combination of button pressing was used we could not boil water and had to resort to boiling water in a saucepan.
10. No food waste container.
11. Although there were sachets of instant coffee and tea; it would not be unreasonable to expect some condiments to been left from previous guests.
12. Apartment was booked with a request for child’s cot to be provided, this request was acknowledged and agreed and yet there was no cot on arrival. Also, Booking.com lists high chair provided but there was no high chair on arrival.
13. All downstairs windows locked with no keys provided. This summer temperatures reached 35degC and it would be useful to be able to let flies out or the odd dragon-fly that appeared one afternoon!
14. The information book has been written with information relevant to a property in the middle of Bath.

Fine accomodation with enough to get by for a night or two.
Positive: The beddens were comfortable and the linen were clean. We appreciated the complimentary milk, coffee and cookies in the kitchen. It's also great that the listing offers free parking.
Negative: There were some hygiene problems, such as the couch that was covered in stains and dust. I also found that the bathroom was a bit shabby, as there were some cracked bathroom tiles and a bit of black mold building up on the grout within the shower.
I find that the property is misleading in being advertised as a "Newly renovated" house, as it is obvious that the place needs a few touch up. Other than that the stay was perfectly fine.

Clean and comfortable stay with parking space
Positive: Comfortable and clean property. Parking space with property and easy drive into bath city centre 5-10 minutes.
Negative: Could maybe do with a refresh of paint in parts and a cover on the sofa to cover up previous stains.

It suited us admirably for our 3 night stay, being close enough to town and offering excellent accom
Positive: I really appreciated that I and my two cousins each had our own bedroom.
The house was very well equipped and spacious. It was also located close enough to the main road, but far enough from it still to be quiet. It was also very close to a bus stop with frequent buses into town, although, as it happened, we didn’t need the bus, but had it as a backup option.
Excellent parking at the property provided you only have a single vehicle.
Negative: Nothing to complain about really!

Nice property overall but the above points rather clouded the experience
Positive: Overall had an enjoyable stay. Nice touch of having some milk , tea bags, coffee etc on arrival
Negative: Unfortunately despite having clearly stated on booking that we wanted three beds for three adults and the advert stating we would have use of the entire building, I received an email 2 days before arriving stating that we needed to pay an additional £50 to have one of the beds made up! On querying this I was told it was “clearly stated” in the advert that there was a standard way of making up the beds for three guests. I felt it was ambiguous and clearly designed to make extra money while the headline price appears lower. We paid as it was too late to find somewhere else only to find that the bottom bed sheet on the large master bed didn’t even fit properly so moved when rolling over!!
The property is advertised as “ newly renovated“ but this is misleading as it shows considerable signs of wear with cracked mouldy tile in the bathroom, damp on the walls and ceilings of the bedrooms, and evidence of a previous leak around the sink.
